Coaster Fine Furniture Introduces Modern Minimalist Gallery at High Point Market

Coaster Fine Furniture is debuting its new Modern Minimalist gallery this week at the High Point Market, featuring more than 30 new pieces, including the launch of the Leandro Collection—an exclusive line imported from Vietnam. The collection blends elements of brutalist architecture with contemporary minimalism and is designed to deliver functional, structural furnishings with textural contrast and clean forms.

“Masterfully balancing function and form, Modern Minimalism is characterized by bold shapes and solid wood, and in line with brutalism’s architectural roots, prioritizes function over excess ornamentation,” said Crystal Nguyen, Vice President of Merchandising and Strategic Planning at Coaster. “Our interpretation emphasizes multi-purpose furniture and modular seating solutions with textural contrasts between hard industrial surfaces and soft, inviting textiles like boucle and plush fabrics in upholstery and accent seating.”

The Leandro Collection includes bedroom and dining furnishings in a deep brown-black Sherwin Williams finish, paired with crisp lines, compound curves, and understated architectural profiles. All case goods are constructed from solid Asian hardwood and ash veneer, with floating bases and radius corners.

Bedroom Group

• Suggested retail: $4,449 (king five-piece set)
• Features a shelter-style headboard upholstered in cream chenille and wrap-around side rails
• Cases include English dovetail drawer construction, felt-lined top drawers, and 45 mm soft-closing metal glides
• Additional features: recharging ports, LED lights in nightstands, and a coordinating floor mirror

Dining Group

• Suggested retail: $3,399 (nine-piece set)
• Includes a 100-inch-long table with oblong top, extra-thick edge profile, and single-handed extension via metal cable glides
• Ergonomic side chairs upholstered in cream fabric with curved backs
• Armchairs with bent plywood frames and deep curved backs reference mid-century modern style
• Matching server includes two drawers over three doors with adjustable shelving
